The Union Government laid the foundation stone for the South Coast Railway (SCoR) zone’s headquarters in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on January 8, 2025. The headquarters will be built at a cost of Rs 1.5 billion. Further, the zone will facilitate trade by connecting major ports like Visakhapatnam and Krishnapatnam.
Besides, the zone will include important divisions, such as the Guntur division, Vijayawada division and parts of the Waltair division.
