Belson Coutinho has been appointed as the chief operating officer (COO) of Akasa Air with effect from January 6, 2025.
Coutinho has been a part of the airline’s executive committee since its inception in 2022. He previously served as the chief marketing officer at VFS Global and at erstwhile Jet Airways.
As part of the new role, Coutinho will spearhead the Akasa Air Learning Academy, and oversee various functions including inflight services, airport services, maintenance and engineering, flight operations, integrated operations control centre, and operational excellence.
