The Andhra Pradesh government has approved several renewable energy projects worth Rs 27.23 billion, including a 1 million tonne per annum green ammonia manufacturing facility in Kakinada.
The facility, to be developed by AM Green Ammonia (India) Private Limited, aims to support the production of eco-friendly fuels and promote green energy solutions. The cabinet has also reportedly approved a solar hybrid and battery storage project in the Nandyal and Kadapa districts. Led by Clean Renewable Energy Hybrid Three Way Limited, this project will feature a 119 MW wind energy capacity and a 130 MW solar energy capacity, forming an integrated renewable energy system. In addition, Tata Power Renewable Energy has reportedly received approval to develop a 400 MW solar energy facility, with the company managing land acquisition and infrastructure for the project. Financial support for these projects is expected to come from institutions like the World Bank, HUDCO, and Germany.
