The Navi Mumbai International Airport has carried out the first commercial flight validation test on December 29, 2024.
The test was carried out using the A320 aircraft from IndiGo Airlines that landed on the 08/26 runway. With the landing, the operational readiness of the instrument approach procedures of the airport has been confirmed.
The airport is targeted to be inaugurated on April 17, 2025. Domestic operations are expected to commence by the second half of May 2025, and international operations by the end of July 2025.
