The Ministry of Railways has completed the survey works for the Talaguppa-Sirsi-Hubballi new rail line project. The detailed project report (DPR) for the same is expected to be submitted by June 2025.
Besides, the project involves laying a 165 km long new line from Talaguppa to Hubballi via Sirsi in Karnataka.
