The track construction work on the downline of the IIT-Kanpur Central stretch of corridor I (Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Naubasta) has been completed under the Kanpur metro rail project phase-I. Besides, work on track slabs on the Baradevi-Naubasta station is underway.
The Kanpur metro project involves development of 33 km long metro rail system in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 110.76 billion.
