Track laying works completed on BKC-Cuffe Parade stretch under Mumbai metro phase I line 3 project

Track laying works have been completed on the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC)-Cuffe Parade stretch under the Mumbai metro phase I line 3 project [Colaba-Bandra-Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ)].

Besides, station and tunnel construction works have achieved progress of about 97 per cent and about 60 per cent progress has been achieved on systems and overhead catenary system.

Line 3 of the Mumbai metro involves the development of an underground metro rail system in Mumbai connecting Colaba to SEEPZ via Bandra covering a distance of 33.5 km with an investment of Rs 372.76 billion. The project, which is being implemented by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited on an engineering, procurement, and construction basis, consists of a total of 27 stations.
