The government of Karnataka has sanctioned Rs 2 billion for the construction of a 600 m long bridge across the Nethravati River, connecting Kotepura in Ullal, Mangaluru constituency, to Bolar in Mangaluru City. This new bridge, located near the Arabian Sea, is expected to ease traffic congestion on the national highway-66 stretch from Thokkottu to Mangaluru.
Additionally, the state cabinet granted administrative approval for another bridge over the Nethravati River. This bridge will connect Sajipanadu and Tumbe villages in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district and will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 0.60 billion.
