Madhya Pradesh cabinet approves Rs 23.12 billion road project 

The Madhya Pradesh cabinet has approved a Rs 23.12 billion road infrastructure project to enhance connectivity between Ujjain and Indore ahead of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2028. The plan includes a Rs 7 billion, 19.81 km Ujjain bypass, as well as the construction of the Indore-Ujjain Greenfield Road costing Rs 13.70 billion and the Indore-Depalpur Road worth Rs 2.39 billion.

The Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation will oversee the execution of these projects. The improved road network will complement the ongoing metro and rapid rail developments between Indore and Ujjain, ensuring seamless transportation for the massive influx of pilgrims during the event.
