Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) handled 7.63 million tonnes (mt) of cargo volume in November 2024, an increase of 12.34 per cent as compared to November 2023. Besides, the port recorded 596,844 twenty- foot equivalent (TEUs) of containers in November 2024, an increase of 15.23 per cent as compared to the throughput handled in November 2023.
Overall, the port recorded 60.05 mt of total cargo during April to November period of FY 2024-25, an increase of 6.41 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of FY 2023-24. The port handled 4,738,978 TEUs of containers during April to November period of FY 2024-25, an increase of 13.38 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of FY 2023-24.
Meanwhile, JSW JNPT Liquid Terminal Private Limited which commenced its operations at the additional liquid jetties (CB-03 and CB-04) on November 1, 2024, handled 48,470 tonnes of liquid cargo during the month.
