Nearly 3,500 projects completed under PMGSY in Jammu & Kashmir

Over the past two decades, nearly 3,500 projects, including 217 bridges, have been completed in Jammu and Kashmir under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), significantly enhancing rural connectivity.

Since its inception, 3,742 projects, including 305 bridges and a road length of 20,801 km, have been sanctioned for Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). To date, 3,429 projects have been completed, connecting 2,129 of the targeted 2,140 habitations. The initiative has incurred an expenditure of Rs 126.50 billion. The recent review emphasised accelerating project timelines, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring rural connectivity across the region.
