The road, a critical link between Varanasi city and the Varanasi-Prayagraj National Highway-19, is essential for managing increased traffic during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025, now less than two months away.
While the Public Works Department (PWD) is spearheading the construction, this stretch is expected to bear the majority of the pilgrim traffic traveling to and from Prayagraj for the religious event. The project is being closely monitored to mitigate delays and expedite the final stages of construction.
