East Central Railway is expected to commence the construction work on the rail bridge across river Ganga between Bikramshila and Katareah stations under the Vikramshila-Katareah (Pirpainthi-Naugachia) new rail line project by April 2025.
The project involves laying a 26.3 km long new line from Vikramshila to Katareah in Bihar.
