CCI approves OMERS acquisition of additional stake in Interise Trust

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has granted approval to Ontario Inc and OMERS Infrastructure, associated entities of OMERS Administration Corporation for acquiring an additional stake in Interise Trust. Furthermore, CCI has also approved an increase in their holding in Interise Investment Managers Limited. In September 2024, OMERS entered into an agreement with Allianz Capital to acquire 13.5 per cent stake in Interise Trust. The CCI has notified the proposed acquisition under the green channel.
