Ceigall India has recently launched the first of 184 U-girders for package KNPCC-12 of the Kanpur metro’s 8.38 km line-2, which will connect Agriculture University and Barra-8. This was recorded in the ramp area near the Agriculture College Metro Station and the Agriculture College Depot, which is currently under construction by K.S.M. Bashir Mohd and Sons as part of package KNPCC-14.
In March 2024, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation awarded Ceigall a construction contract for KNPCC-12, valued at Rs 4.27 billion, with a completion deadline set for 30 months. This package consists of two separate elevated sections on either side of the underground package KNPCC-11, which involves the construction of the Agriculture Depot and Double Pullia Ramp, awarded to Kalpataru Projects International Limited – Gulermak joint venture in December 2023.
Further, the southern section of KNPCC-12’s viaduct will connect with the Double Pullia Ramp and Barra-8, including four elevated stations.
