Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has acquired Bikaner B Power Transmission Limited (BBPTL), a special purpose vehicle to establish “Transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Ph-IV (Part-3:6 GW) [Bikaner Complex]: Part B on a build, own and operate (BOOT) basis from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). This acquisition was completed under a tariff-based competitive bidding process for Rs 184.7 million.
The project involves establishing a 765/400kV substation at Siwani and various 765kV and 400kV transmission lines across Rajasthan and Haryana.
