Work on Dedicated Test Track for RDSO to complete in Rajasthan by December 2025 

The construction work of the Dedicated Test Track for Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) is expected to be completed by December 2025.

This project involves development of a 59 km long test track between Gudha-Thathana Mithari section in Rajasthan. The dedicated test track will be used for testing of tracks, bridges, rolling stock, signalling, traction and for running of semi high-speed trains.

North Western Railway (NWR) is executing the project in two phases. Phase 1 of the project was sanctioned in the year 2018-19. The second phase was sanctioned in 2020-21. The anticipated cost of the project is around Rs 8.2 billion.
