The Sabarimala Greenfield Airport, Kerala has witnessed the completion of the field survey related to the social impact assessment (SIA) of the land acquisition for the airport’s construction. The survey for the SIA commenced on October 9, 2024.
Reportedly, the construction would require acquiring around 1,039.876 hectares of land across the Manimala and Erumeli Tekku villages, including 916.27 hectares in the Cheruvalli estate and private land spanning 121.876 hectares.
Works are underway for the submission of the draft report by November 15, 2024, to the district collector.
