Eagle Infra India Limited (EIIL) has won a contract worth Rs 8,652.6 million for the augmentation of the Amravati water supply scheme (WSS) under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. Bids for the same were invited by the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran in February 2024.
The scope of work includes providing, lowering, laying and jointing gravity main and rising main from Simbhora headworks to the water treatment plant (WTP) at Tapovan and WTP having a capacity of 70 million litres per day, reinforced cement concrete and related infrastructure with supervisory control and data acquisition automation. The work is likely to be completed in 30 months.
