South East Central Railway zone is generating a total of 0.38 million units of energy every month, resulting in monthly savings of Rs 1 million, through its solar rooftop plants having a capacity of 5,451 kilowatts (KW). Moreover, with this initiative, the carbon emissions have been reduced by more than 315 tonnes.
Besides, the installation work of solar power plants with the total capacity of 7.8 megawatts (MW) has also reached its advanced stage.
