Ground breaking for 2 million square feet business park at Bengaluru Airport City

The Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL) which is a subsidiary of Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has reportedly broken ground for the business park spanning two million square feet.

The move is aimed towards promoting the city as a global hub for Global Capability Centres (GCCs) as part of the new GCC policy of the Karnataka Government targeted to create 0.35 million jobs and contribute $ 50 billion towards the economy.

Bengaluru Airport City is being developed as a mixed-use destination. It would feature a business park to be built over 17.7 acres, an education and health district, and entertainment and hospitality options. Connectivity would also be ensured to Bengaluru’s city centre through the upcoming Airport West metro station. The Airport City’s design is based on sustainability, and the campus runs entirely on renewable energy.
