The centre has sanctioned around Rs 22 billion for road projects across Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Goa. Maharashtra will receive Rs 8.1 billion for the rehabilitation and upgradation of two-lane along with a paved shoulder on national highway (NH) 63 from Udgir to Degalur and Adampur Fata to Sagroli Fata section.
Andhra Pradesh will receive Rs 4 billion for the development of 13 state roads of a length of around 200 km. Also, Rs 980 million has been sanctioned for constructing a four-lane Sankar Vilas Road Over Bridge (ROB) on the Guntur-Nallapadu railway section in the Guntur district.
For Telangana, Rs 5.16 billion has been sanctioned for a 14 km four-lane bypass from the Nakrekal to Nagarjuna Sagar section of NH 565. For Goa, around Rs 5.57 billion has been sanctioned for the four-lane construction of the 9.6 km stretch from Ponda to Bhoma on NH 748, which will be executed on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode.
