Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has appointed a task force to monitor the issues of water shortage and disruption in Pimpri-Chinchwad. The Water Supply Department has constructed water tanks for consistent water supply. Valve and pump operators have also been appointed to manage water distribution from these water tanks. Reportedly, the task force team will submit weekly reports to the department and inspect each tank to assess if their filling and water supply are as per schedule. Moreover, strict action has been warned against any kind of violations.
Additionally, valve operators’ attendance, uniform compliance, and identity card verification will also be inspected. Also, work registers, meter readings, and quality analyser data will be scrutinised, and physical verification of scheduled valve operations citywide will also be carried out. Furthermore, a system has also been adopted to control valve operators.
