North Eastern Railway is expected to commence acquisition of land in the Khalilabad-Balrampur section for the Bahraich-Khalilabad new railway line project.
The project involves the construction of a new broad gauge line spanning 240 km between Bahraich and Khalilabad via Bhinga, Shravasti, Balrampur, Uttraula, Domariyaganj, Bansi and Mehbawal in Uttar Pradesh. The project is expected to be completed by 2025 with an investment of Rs 49.4 billion.
