Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has submitted a revised alignment proposal for the Thiruvananthapuram metro rail project.
The realignment includes development of a metro network from Kazhakkoottam Junction to Putharikandam Ground spanning 14.9 km. It would connect Technopark, the Kariavattom University campus, Ulloor, Murinjapalam, Pattom, PMG, the legislative assembly, Palayam, Bakery Junction, Thampanoor, and Putharikandam grounds. Besides, KMRL has also proposed extending the metro to Pallipuram in the next phase.
