Prime Minister inaugurated the new underground section of the Pune Metro, connecting District Court to Swargate, on September 29, 2024. This underground segment was developed at a cost of Rs 18.1 billion.
Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for the Swargate-Katraj extension of Pune metro phase-1. This will be an underground section spanning 5.46 km, with three stations namely, Market Yard, Padmavati, and Katraj. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 29.55 billion.
