Apurvakriti Infrastructure has commenced the track plinth casting work at Majiwada station as part of Mumbai metro’s line 4 and line 4A (green line) project, on September 21, 2024.
The work is being carried out under package CA-161. The contract worth Rs 218.8 million was awarded to Apurvakriti Infrastructure by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) in September 2023, with a two-year deadline for track installation. Under this package, Apurvakriti Infrastructure is responsible for installing ballastless tracks along a 15.77 km section of line 4 and line 4A, stretching from Mulund Fire station to Gaimukh, including the siding track at Gaimukh station.
Line 4 of the Mumbai metro spans 32.32 km, connecting Bhakti Park (Wadala) to Kasaravadavali through 32 stations. Line 4A extends the Green Line by 2.88 km from Kasaravadavali to Gaimukh, via two stations.
