The government of Gujarat, under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, has approved a total of Rs 2.55 billion for road development projects across Surat, Rajkot, and Gandhinagar. The Surat Municipal Corporation has been granted Rs 1.81 billion for 579 projects, which include road widening, new road construction, and the development of footpaths.
Rajkot has been allocated Rs 0.60 billion for 12 road projects, while Gandhinagar will receive Rs 0.12 billion for the renovation of existing roads. These projects aim to improve urban infrastructure and enhance connectivity in key cities of Gujarat.
