Indian Railway has conducted the trial run of Vande Bharat Express train service on the route between Jharkhand’s Tatanagar and Odisha’s Berhampur. The service will cover a total distance of 586 km on this route in about nine hours and ten minutes. The stops on the route include Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Banspani, Nayagarh, Kendujhargarh, Bhubaneswar, and Khurda road, among others.
Besides, Uttar Pradesh’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train service is expected to be launched during Diwali this year. The train is likely to operationalise on the Lucknow-New Delhi route. Also, both North Eastern Railway and Northern Railway have submitted proposals to the Railway Board, requesting the introduction of sleeper coaches on this route.
