Mr. Satish Kumar, an officer of the 1986 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), has been appointed as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, on September 5, 2024.
Besides, earlier, he was appointed as the Member (Traction & Rolling Stock), where he was responsible to oversee the critical aspects of traction and rolling stock across the Indian Railway.
