About 82.8 per cent physical progress achieved on the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline

About 82.8 per cent physical progress has been achieved on the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid Project.

The North-East natural gas pipeline grid involves development, operation and maintenance (O&M) of a natural gas pipeline connecting eight states viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. It is being implemented by IGGL, a joint venture (JV) company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), GAIL (India) Limited, Oil India Limited (OIL) and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). It entails an investment of Rs 92.65 billion.
