Tunnel boring machine (TBM) DZ-1122 has achieved its second tunnel breakthrough at Chattarpur Mandir station for package DC-09 under Delhi metro project phase IV. Besides, TBM DZ-1123 which is constructing a parallel tunnel alongside TBM DZ-1122 is likely to arrive at the Chattarpur Mandir station by September 2024.
Additionally, about 47 per cent physical progress has been achieved on corridor III (Aerocity-Tughlakabad) of the project. Delhi metro project phase IV involves the development of a 103.93 km long metro rail network comprising six corridors with an investment of Rs 468 billion.
