Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) in collaboration with the Structural Engineering Research Center (SERC) has completed the load deflection test (LDT) on the Pamban new railway bridge project.
The project involves construction of a new 2.05 km long bridge near Pamban bridge in Tamil Nadu in lieu of the existing scherzer rolling lifting bridge on the Mandapam-Pamban rail line at an investment of Rs 5.6 billion. It will be a vertical leaf-type bridge.
