East Coast Railway (ECoR) has achieved a breakthrough of a 1.97 km long T-7 tunnel between the Lugacuttack-Charichak section located in Boudh district in connection with the Khurda road-Bolangir new line project.
The project involves construction of 289 km long broad gauge railway line from Khurda road to Bolangir under Khurda division of ECoR, aiming at connecting western Odisha with eastern Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs 37.91 billion.
