East Central Railway (ECR) has achieved total freight loading of 121 million tonnes (mt) during January 2024 to July 2024, an increase of 7.8 per cent against the corresponding period of last year. The zone generated freight revenue of Rs 160 billion and passenger revenue of Rs 26.41 billion during January 2024 to July 2024. The cumulative revenue generated by the zone during this period stands at Rs 190 billion.
Besides, ECR has completed 36 km of gauge conversion and 79 km of track doubling work along with laying of 49 km of new line during January 2024 to July 2024.
