BSNL launches over 1,500 4G sites in UP East

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has successfully deployed over 1,500 4G sites in the Uttar Pradesh (UP) East circle. The telco is utilising indigenous 4G technology from a consortium led by TCS, which includes Tejas Networks and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT).

Further, BSNL is rapidly advancing its 4G site deployment across various regions in the country and recently announced the completion of 25,000 4G sites. The company aims to achieve a target of 100,000 4G sites by the end of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25).

Additionally, BSNL is offering free 4G SIM cards to customers throughout India and also plans to roll out commercial 5G services in 2025.
