Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Deendayal Port Authority Container and Clean Cargo Terminal Limited as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the development of berth no. 13 at Deendayal Port on August 9, 2024.
The project involves development of 300 metres long berth no. 13 for handling vessels up to 75,000 deadweight tonnage. It will handle multipurpose clean cargo and container cargo. It will be set up on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis under public-private partnership mode for a concession period of 30 years. The capacity of the berth will be 5.7 million metric tonnes per annum. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1.69 billion.
