Indian Railway has conducted a trial run of its first 20-coach Vande Bharat train service on the route between Ahmedabad and Mumbai on August 9, 2024. The train commenced from Kalupur railway station and reached Mumbai Central railway station after attaining a maximum speed of 130 km per hour.
Previously, two Vande Bharat trains, each with 16 coaches, were operating on this route. So far, Vande Bharat train services had either 16 or eight coaches.
