Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has commenced construction for the New Park Street metro station on the purple line with the casting of the diaphragm wall. Kolkata’s second metro station at Park Street is expected to be completed within the next two to three years.
The purple line spanning 14 km from Joka to Esplanade, is currently operational over an 8 km elevated stretch from Joka to Majerhat.
