Two externally aided rail projects receive estimates under budget 2024-25  

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Project (Western Corridor) has received a budgetary estimate of Rs 1.15 billion for the Rewari-Vadodara section (Phase 1) and Rs 17.62 billion for Vadodara-Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust and Rewari-Dadri sections (Phase 2) of the project. Besides, Rs 1.47 billion will be disbursed for the construction of a training institute for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor Project.

Dedicated Freight Corridor Project (Western Corridor) involves the development of a 1,504 km long heavy haul freight corridor of double line electric (2 X 25 kV) tracks in Haryana, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 511.01 billion.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (HSR) Corridor project involves development of the 508.17 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR corridor in Maharashtra and Gujarat with an investment of Rs 1,080 billion.
