The Direct Port Delivery (DPD) facilitation at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) recorded handling of 546,215 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) containers during April-June period of 2024-25, an increase of 8.71 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of 2023-24 (524,942 TEUs).
Moreover, consolidated DPD usage has increased to 78.87 per cent in the first quarter of 2024-2025 as against 70.17 per cent in the corresponding period of 2023-24
DPD helps in delivering import containers directly to pre-approved clients at the port, reducing logistics cost and time.
