The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several significant projects worth more than Rs 130 million at Paradip Port.
The Trauma and Burn Care Centre in the newly constructed Annex building of Paradip Port Hospital has been inaugurated. Constructed at a cost of Rs 29 million, it will provide curative and rehabilitative services for trauma and burn victims in and around Paradip.
Further, the foundation stone has been laid for a water treatment plant of Paradip Port Authority. Once completed, it will receive raw water through Taldanda canal and will have the capacity to filter 16 million litres of water per day. This will enhance the water infrastructure of Paradip Port and supply quality drinking water to the citizens of the port township. The project is being constructed at a cost of Rs 105 million and is expected to be completed by December 2024.
