The government of Telangana has allocated funds worth Rs 33.85 billion to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) in its state budget 2024-25. This fund is targeted towards improving and laying new water pipelines and sewage infrastructure. It would also be used to install STPs along the Musi River under the Musi River Front Development project.
