Centre allocates funds for Chandrawal WTP in Delhi under Union Budget 2024-25

The central government allocated funds worth Rs 2 billion for the  Chandrawal water treatment plant (WTP) under the Delhi (Chandarwal) Water Supply Improvement project under the Union Budget 2024-25.

The Chandrawal WTP is being implemented at a cost of Rs 5.98 billion. Once completed, the project will result in a 24X7 water supply to Chandni Chowk, Pahari Diraj, Idgah, Civil Lines, Karol Bagh, Kamla Nagar, Malkaganj, Rajinder Nagar, Shadipur, Patel Nagar and Naraina in Delhi.

The project is being funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
