The Airports Authority of India (AAI), the Urban Development Department, the Government of Rajasthan, and the Civil Aviation Department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on July 19, 2024, for the development of the Kota Greenfield airport in Rajasthan.
Land for the same is to be provided by the government of Rajasthan, while the construction, development, and operation would be the responsibility of the AAI, as per the MoU. The airport is to be constructed on land spanning around 440.086 hectares, and the AAI is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the same.
