The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has announced the construction of two road projects in Goa. This includes the Wadgaon-Karnataka border bypass project which involves the construction of a 45 km long bypass from Wadgaon to Karnataka border at an estimated cost of Rs 35 billion. The second project is the Panaji-Belgaum four laning road project (NH-748), which involves the four laning of a 52 km long road connecting Panaji to Belgaum on NH-748 at an estimated cost of Rs 40 billion in Goa and Karnataka.
