The North Western Railway has achieved the electrification of total 5,291 route km (rkm) of its networks till June 30, 2024. This is 95 per cent of its cumulative broad-gauge network of 5,550 rkm. The zone is likely to get fully electrified by the end of financial year 2024-25.
Moreover, the fully electrified routes of the zone include Jaipur-Delhi, Jaipur-Ajmer, Jaipur-Ahmedabad, Jaipur-Udaipur, Rewari-Ahmedabad and Jaipur-Agra.
Currently, about 160 trains are functioning on electric traction under the zone.
