The 3.5 km northbound stretch of the Coastal Road, connecting Worli to Haji Ali, is now open for public use. The Coastal Road, constructed at a cost of Rs 130 billion, is a 10.58 km high-speed corridor featuring tunnels, vehicular interchanges, and bridges.
The next phase, linking the southbound arm to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, will be completed by October 2024. The northbound segment of the Coastal Road initially opened for vehicle movement on June 2024, currently facilitating traffic over a 6.50 km stretch between Marine Drive and Worli. Meanwhile, the southbound side accommodates vehicles over a 9.50 km stretch between Worli and Marine Drive.
