IR achieves track laying of over 31,000 km during 2014-2024

Indian Railways (IR) has achieved track laying of over 31,000 km during 2014-24. Other major achievements of IR, over the last decade, include the construction of a total of 11,900 road over bridges and road under bridges, electrification of 44,000 route km of its networks, track renewal of over 40,000 track km, manufacturing of over 36,900 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, foundation stone laid for more than 1,000 Amrit Bharat stations and commissioning of 77 Gati Shakti cargo terminals among others. Besides, as of now, IR has achieved total track laying of over 800 km during this financial year.
