The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a consultation paper on the “Revision of National Numbering Plan”. The consultation paper aims to assess all factors affecting the allocation and utilisation of telecommunication identifier (TI) resources. It also proposes potential modifications to enhance allocation policies and utilisation procedures, ensuring an adequate reservoir of TI resources. TRAI has invited written comments from stakeholders on the issues raised in the consultation paper by July 4, 2024, and counter-comments by July 18, 2024.
